Payment required to vote at the Generl Assembly 2008. After a general discussion it was
agreed that a 5 year payment of 75 Euro be made by Linda Bettle which would be
reimbursed immediately. CH to email Linda.

WORLDS
General
discussion about accommodation, travel, NZ entry numbers, coaches, funding
applications, budget, boat charter. General feeling that a working party of
interested parents should be formed.
Peter
SaunderÕs email – willing to start making funding applications for
coaches and any other expenses trusts may accept. Peter
Saunders to lead the working party and delegate areas of responsibility
to those who are already expressing an interest in attending dependent on their
sailors making selection. Nick/Bernadette; William
Bettle, possibly the MaloneyÕs to help.
Bernadette
has started to put together an approximate budget
covering: Accommodation, travel, boat charter, travel insurance, shipping,
coach boat charter, coahes, meals/sundry travel and uniform. This budget should
be circulated asap. Bernadeltte to email to CH to
circulate.
CH
to send out an email to all sailors asking for Expressions of Interest in
attending the Worlds and Junior Worlds.
Preliminary
entry needs to be in 22 March, part way through our selection trial. This is
only a guide for the organizers and is in no way binding. Team payment and
Final entry is by 22 June 2008.

GENERAL
BUSINESS
a. NZ 420 Assoc boat charter
General
discussion about the Boat Charter Policy draft.
Amendments:
$600
deposit to $800 to be a higher fee than the insurance excess.
Òplus optional $100
(including damage inspection fee) if delivery to and from a venue WITHIN THE
METROPOLITAL AUCKLAND AREA is requiredÓ.
Add in:
Return of
Boat: At an agree venue, derigged, washed and in the same condition and
including the same fittings as when originally chartered.
Include
another copy of this policy with an area for the signature of both the sailor
(or sailorÕs guardian) and a committee member.
Moved:
that the amended boat charter policy be accepted: GB/WB
Presently
one boat has been returned by Turners/Kools – BD
to follow up payment for charter.
The
second is with Mark Hansen – have asked to extend charter for use at the
NIÕs in New Plymouth 23 & 24 Feb 08. Committee agreed on condition that the
boat is returned to BD by Wednesday 27 February 08, that the $800 bond, and
payment for weeks used are made. Also to be made clear that the boat will not
be available the NatÕs. – BD to follow up.

Nationals 2008
Measurement

-Put
notice up at the NIÕs to draw sailorÕs attention to measurement requirements at
the Nationals. CH to send notice to committee member
attending NIÕs.
– Make
it clear that sailors must come to Nationals with pre-measured sails, foils,
with measurement certificates (to enable measurer to check that weights are
still in boats).
– Measurement
spot checks to be made.
– Make
it clear that measurement of new equipment is not an option just prior to the
Nationals.
GB -
Would like sailors to book a measurement time – would like committee
members to have sailorÕs boats measured earlier in the day if possible to save
time.
GB-
submitted costs for measurement equipment and flights to date (TreasurerÕs
report). Suggested he also produce a mylar measurement template for rigs.
c.
Clinic Roundup
8 Boats
attended the Akarana clinic – all payments received from sailors. WB to
bank cheques from previous clinic – CH to follow up.
Club Series
– CH to ask for Expressions of Interest from sailors for re-running the
club series: MBSC 23/24 Feb – cancelled due to weather; Sandspit March
15/16; Wakatere March 29/30. 2009 – possibly only run club series after
Starling Nationals.
