CORRESPONDENCE

Tabled BD

Correspondence In and Out with Legal & Professional Insurance regarding 420 Association boat insurance cover, including racing of $10,000 per boat. Excess approximately $600.

Moved BD/CH – to enter an agreement to insure boats with above agent.

Tabled CH - Out:

-Email to Nino Schmueli asking for list of trophies and recipients so that NZ Assoc. can organize engraving. No response to date.

- Email to International 420 Assoc. Chief Measurer, Dimitri, endorsing Gregor Bowater as suitable to become a second National NZ 420 Measurer.

TREASURERÕS REPORT

Account #01 $10,105.00  as at 6/11/07 (membership/general coaching fee acc.)

Account #02  $18,335  as at 6/11/07 (Õ06 & Õ07 Worlds acc.)

-        Payments for coaching at Winchamps Clinic made to Andrew Brown for $600,

and Mark Overington for $500.

-        William Bettle has received payments for coaching clinic. Clinic fee reduced from $100 to $80 due to number of boats attending.

-        Discussion about transferring some funds into a term deposit, ML to investigate.

 

6.

NATIONALS 2008

BD reported that the NOR was with Yachting NZ. As soon as it was approved and returned it will be posted on our website, and distributed to class members and clubs. Gregor will measure from midday Thursday 20 March.

 

7.

GENERAL BUSINESS

Laser turbo vang system for Andy Knowles. Roy Walmsley checking whether or not the  missing equipment  was  with another laser.

-        Would it be possible to claim insurance at this late date. WB to follow up.

Funding applications for 2008 Worlds and coaching. WB to speak to Peter Dawson and arrange a meeting with ML, CH.

AK Club Series to begin – WB to check that MBSC dates OK.

Torbay YC area, Sunday 9 December at the Sir Peter Blake Memorial regatta.
